Online Poetry Workshop with Ellena Woolf

Do you identify as LGBTQ+ and want to take part in one of our fun and free creative writing workshops?

Share your story as you work with artist and poet, Ellena Woolf, to develop a poem for your younger self! What would you tell them?

Workshops can accomodate up to 10 people and will run for 1 hour.

Your poem, your ideas, your voice could then be featured as part of Ellena’s latest work ‘Voice Notes to my Child Self’ – a combination of poetry and music, aiming to share underrepresented voices with a  wider audience.

This workshop will be streamed via Zoom for you to join in from home. You will receive a confirmation email after you purchase a ticket, and further details about how to join the workshop will be sent to you nearer the time.

Before purchasing a ticket, please ensure you have a working device (laptop/PC/Mac/phone etc.) and a stable internet connection.

Virtual Ghost x Newlyn x King’s Lynn

Join choreographer Kesha Raithatha and film maker G Sian for a screening of their film Virtual Ghost; a work which plays with and challenges ideas of how South Asian women’s bodies are present in public spaces.

In partnership with Creative Arts East, we took Kesha and G on a virtual tour of Newlyn and Kings Lynn earlier in the summer – and this is the premiere of a suite of 8 short films that sees Kesha embedded, superimposed and dancing on iconic architectural buildings in those towns.

Facilitated by Ian Abbott, Virtual Ghost x Newlyn x Kings Lynn is a livestreamed event that explores public space, digital architecture and the creative interventions that can be made.

There is no charge for the event, but you will need to book a ticket in advance so you can join in via Zoom. You will be given access to the Virtual Ghost film from 18th September, but the new films featuring Newlyn and Kings Lynn will be premiered on 23rd September.
