The Last Tree

Femi is a British boy of Nigerian heritage who has a happy childhood in rural Lincolnshire with his foster family.

He’s suddenly destabilised by being dropped abruptly into life on a tough inner-London estate when his Nigerian mother Yinka reclaims him.

Struggling with the unfamiliar culture and values of his new environment, while warring with his uncertain Nigerian heritage and his hopes for an independent future, teenage Femi has to figure out which path to adulthood he wants to take, and what it means to be a young black man in London.
