In Gotham City, mentally-troubled comedian Arthur Fleck is struggling to find his way, disregarded and mistreated by society. Caught in a cyclical existence between apathy and cruelty, Arthur makes one bad decision that brings about a chain reaction of escalating events. He then embarks on a downward spiral of revolution and bloody crime.
