Hi everyone, it’s me again – Sydney! I hope that you have been enjoying the transition into Autumn, I have loved seeing the leaves change colour and collecting conkers. The last wellbeing pack you received was themed around Bollywood, exploring the cultural history of the genre and giving it a go ourselves! We were introduced to Rebecca Grant, who is an actress, dancer and artist. She has graced the stage in lots of West End Musicals, namely the big Bollywood one – called Bombay Dreams! We had incense, chai tea bags and a CD to tantalize all our senses and transport us to India! Julie at Creative Arts East and our volunteer and board member Liz, both created such beautiful flower mobiles! Let me know what you think of their attempts and share yours with us by using your Freepost envelope or emailing them to us (you can find out how at the bottom of this page).
Here is a montage of ‘Bombay Dreams’ when it was in the West End, see if you can spot Rebecca! You can find more songs from Bombay Dreams on Youtube, which will be great when we learn the dance moves from the next pack!
Our next wellbeing pack will follow on from this one, with more Bollywood themed activities for you all – we will be given some scarves which we will use to learn some Bollywood dance moves. We will also be having a zoom with Rebecca, learning and doing some dance moves together (for more information just give me a call or email.)
If you have anything to share, such as your examples of drawing to music, mindful coloring or Pen Pal letters, you can email them to me at firstname.lastname@example.org, post them on our Facebook page or send them in to us using the Freepost envelope! If you need any help sharing, you can give us a call and we will try our best to walk through it together.
Missing you all, and chat soon.
Ta-ra for now,
Sydney and the Our Day Out Team x
