Hi everyone, it’s me again – Sydney! I hope you are well and enjoying the lovely sunshine that we have been having this week. Our latest Wellbeing pack was themed around Opera, Musicals and all the glamorous things associated with it. We were introduced to Rob Gildon, who is a professional opera singer and musician, he shared his love for the art form and explained how Opera is simply story telling through music. Rob is taking us on a journey through this wonderful artform, from costumes to where and how operas are created! I gave the mindful colouring activity from the pack a go, let me know what you think of my attempt and share yours with us by using your Freepost envelope or emailing them to us (you can find out how at the bottom of this page).
Rob also treated us to a CD introducing us to the sound of opera and a YouTube video where we can sing along to one of my favourite songs ‘Edelweiss’ (from ‘The Sound of Music’). I have popped Rob’s video below for you…

Our next Wellbeing pack will follow on from this one, with more Opera themed activities for you all – we will be encouraged to take a step outside (or take inspiration from some beautiful images) and draw to ‘Where’er You Walk’ which Rob performs in part 4 of the CD. It is an aria all about your outside environment and the beauty of nature. The wonder of the leaves turning to their autumnal colours could be a good place to start…
It has been lovely hearing about what you have been up to through our phone calls and the amazing things you have been sending in to us. So, if you have anything to share, such as your examples of drawing to music, mindful colouring or pictures from our Introduction to Photography, you can email them to me at email@example.com, post them on our Facebook page or send them in to us using the Freepost envelope! If you need any help sharing, you can give us a call and we will try our best to walk through it together.

Missing you all, and chat soon.
