The Silver Social

Creative Arts East have recently taken on the running of The Silver Social project, formerly led by Breckland District Council. The Silver Social is a touring arts and health programme for older people in the Breckland area. Using high-quality arts delivery, including creative workshops and events, we engage with vulnerable older people to help improve wellbeing and support them to connect with their community to support health and wellbeing. Events are open to all and will provide an opportunity to meet others and find out more about activities and services you might want to access. Sessions provide a chance to enjoy cuppa and cake whilst listening to some live music, taking part in an arts workshop or mindful walkabout. We’re running drop-in sessions in variety of Breckland towns and villages.

Upcoming Dates

March Live Performance – Lucky Dog Theatre’s presents ‘The Laurel and Hardy Cabaret’

Lucky Dog Theatre Productions performance of Laurel and Hardy Cabaret! Lucky Dog are generally regarded as being the best Laurel and Hardy re-enactors in the world.

‘The Laurel & Hardy Cabaret’ is a bumper package of these routines, songs and dances linked with accurately recreated film inserts from The Boys’ 30-year career. Featuring some classic movie sequences, along with some hilarious Music Hall sketches the pair toured in the 1940s and 50s, you will be transported back to a more innocent time – yet still be amazed at how current their comedy remains.
