We’re delighted to announce that Inn Crowd is back for 2026, bringing exceptional live performance to pubs across rural communities once again.
Led by Applause Rural Touring and supported by Pub is The Hub, Inn Crowd has a proud history of connecting some of the UK’s finest spoken word artists, storytellers and live literature performers with local audiences in welcoming pub settings.
Thanks to continued support for the programme, a limited number of participating pubs can host performances free of charge before August 2026, with the first shows beginning this June.

This year, audiences in Norfolk can look forward to an exciting programme of performances featuring acclaimed artists including Luke Wright, John Osborne, Lewis Buxton, and Lung and a Half Full Theatre. Each show promises a unique and memorable experience, bringing professional, high-quality entertainment right to the heart of local communities.

To Make People Happy – John Osborne
There has never been a better time for an uplifting show. Explore the humour section of second-hand book shops, jokes overheard on market stalls and finding the positives in life, even if that means finding friendship with your end-of-life carers and sharing a love of Chas and Dave with a taxi driver after the world’s least appealing wedding.
This show is an average guy’s guide to making new friends. He’ll write poems for his best mates, confess his darkest secrets and with his trademark welcoming wit, ask how on earth does a man in his thirties make new friends?
