It’s Green June! Following the submission of our latest Julie’s Bicycle report, we’re sharing a glimpse of how sustainability continues to shape our work, from programming and touring to how we operate day to day.
April marked the beginning of the brilliant UEA Green Film Festival, which recently finished with a sold-out screening of the award-winning Every Little Thing at Norwich Theatre’s Stage Two. Our marketing team, Sophie and Aston went went along to see the film –

‘They all had cute names like Wasabi and each hummingbird is full of such character including a particularly resilient little bird called Cactus!’
After the success of touring North Sea: Nature Untamed last year to rural communities across the region, we are partnering again with the Green Film Festival in 2026 to bring Every Little Thing to a community cinema near you. You can find out more about the UEA Green Film Fest here.
Every Little Thing offers profound truths in a deceptively simple story about an inspirational woman who has devoted herself to rescue & rehabilitation of injured hummingbirds.

As part of our offer to bring Every Little Thing to rural cinemas, we have just released our newest edition of the curated brochure for our members. This time we have committed to bringing together a dedicated ‘Green Collection’, showcasing live performances and screen titles that celebrate our natural world and champion sustainability. Rural Touring has always been environmentally conscious; bringing arts to audiences, rather than audiences to arts, and that is something we take pride in. Last year alone, we supported over 450 events, reaching 18,000+ people in their own communities; reducing travel while increasing access to high-quality arts experiences.

Beyond our programming and touring, did you know we share office space with our friends at The National Centre for Writing. For the past 5 years, we’ve been residents of the magnificent medieval Dragon Hall in the heart of Norwich. This has been an excellent way for us to work together on keeping our energy use down and contribute to reducing emissions. Our team also takes their responsibility for sustainable travel seriously and where possible, a number of them walk to work, take the bus and even cycle from outside of the city.
We know there is more to learn, and we remain committed to making active, reasonable changes that support our communities, members, audiences, and the environment.
