Why do we collect your feedback?

– In order to continue delivering our work and supporting events like the one you attended, we have to report regularly our funders such as Arts Council England and The British Film Institute, so that they can understand the reach and impact of our work.

– We ask for postcode data because our partners Arts Council England and The Audience Agency compare our regional data with audiences across the UK. It is only used for research purposes and not shared with third parties.

– We must ask questions relating to characteristics such as race and gender to make sure we are compliant with the 2010 Equality Act, which prevents discrimination on the grounds of any protected characteristic and to see how the audiences coming to our events compares to the general population. If you do not wish to answer one of the questions, just tick ‘Prefer not to say’ and move on to the next one.

– At CAE, we are also conducting some research into the impact that attending or participating in cultural events might have on audience members’ wellbeing, sense of community and feelings of isolation. Therefore, some of our questions are taken directly from the Office for National Statistics measures on loneliness and personal wellbeing. They are entirely optional and you do not need to answer them if you do not feel comfortable doing so.

We promise to keep your data safe and secure. For further information on how and why we collect, handle and store data, please see our privacy policy at:
