Activities for Older People

Supporting wellbeing through the arts

For over twenty years, Creative Arts East has designed and delivered activities that improve wellbeing for older people in rural and underserved communities.

Our current programme of Arts for Health runs in Breckland and West Norfolk, thanks to funding from Arts Council England, West Norfolk Lives via Norfolk Community Foundation, the West Norfolk Health and Wellbeing Partnership, individual donations and ticket sales.

    Creative Socials

Creative Socials are relaxed, monthly participatory workshops led by professional artists. Sessions feature a variety of activities, such as music-making, visual arts, crafts, dance, and more. These workshops are open to anyone aged 50+ and are inclusive of people living with long-term health conditions, including dementia, as well as carers.

Afternoon Events are bi-monthly live performances and cinema screenings specifically for those aged 50+. These events provide the chance to enjoy professional arts events in a relaxed, safe setting with like-minded people. Events take place in various locations across the county so check our What’s On for details!
